Dennis O'Keeffe

Infrastructure Programme Director Transforming Cancer Services in South-East Wales

Velindre NHS Trust

Recipient of the prestigious 2016 Silver Partnerships ‘Procurer of the Year’ Award, Dennis has a proven track record of delivering award winning major infrastructure projects and programmes.  A multi-chartered fellow of the ICE, CIOB and RICS with four post-graduate degrees in engineering and business Dennis has over 35 years of successful experience working supply-side and client-side for leading contractors, designers, management consultants and client organisations in the UK and beyond. He has spent the last 16 years client-side as a director of health infrastructure projects and programmes for the NHS.  A published researcher and practitioner, Dennis’ vision of better healthcare infrastructure is one based on high quality design developed by designers collaborating ever more effectively with NHS clinicians and managers combined with ever greater client and supply-side systems integration and digital asset management.  In his view, this future vision of better healthcare infrastructure delivery begins with starting with the end in mind: empathically combining people, materials, design, digital data and information technology from the outset so as to ultimately better realise benefits to patients, staff and the community as the principal outcome.
